International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
In 2018, close cooperation between the two CEN and ISO committees responsible for the postal sector was initiated in their mutual interest.
The standards developed by ISO/TC 315 (Cold chain logistics) and TC 344 (Innovative logistics) have an impact on postal services and logistics chains in Europe. It is therefore extremely important to consistently follow and contribute to activities and developments in the interests of Germany and Europe. This is also the only way to timely identify and avoid potential disparities with respect to existing UPU and CEN standards. The Bundesnetzagentur is actively involved in the ISO committees TC 315 and TC 344, regularly participates in plenary sessions and working groups, and thus makes a significant contribution to the development of intercontinental standards; in TC 315 it also performs the head of the delegation function for Germany.
